Original German WWII Hilfs Krankenträger (Auxiliary Stretcher Bearer) Armband

This is an original German WWII Hilfs-Krankenträger armband, worn by auxiliary stretcher bearers and medical support personnel assigned to assist with casualty evacuation and battlefield aid. These armbands were intended for quick visual identification of medical helpers operating in rear areas, aid stations, or during transport of wounded soldiers.

The armband is constructed of white cotton canvas and features black printed Gothic-style lettering reading “Hilfs-Krankenträger”, enclosed within a black rope-style rectangular border. The printing remains clear and legible, with strong contrast against the white background. The reverse is unmarked and shows the correct plain cotton construction, with a vertical seam where the armband was originally closed for wear around the upper arm.

Condition is consistent with wartime use and age, showing light staining, very minor discoloration and handling wear. Overall, it remains a solid and honest example with good eye appeal in excellent condition.
