Original German WWII Luftwaffe Aluminum EM/NCO Belt Buckle by Richard Sieper & Söhne
Buckles such as this were issued to Enlisted Men (EM) and Non-Commissioned Officers (NCOs) serving in the Luftwaffe (Air Force) during WWII. It is constructed from lightweight aluminum, which was common for early-war buckles. Later in the war, production often shifted to steel due to material shortages.
This authentic buckle still retains excellent details throughout, but has some wear on the body of the second model eagle and a little wear on the wings. Still has a nice pebbled background. There are faint remnants of the original Luftwaffe blue paint on the front. The reverse side bears the maker mark "R.S & S." signifying it was produced by Richard Sieper & Söhne. The aluminum prong bar is nicely intact. Aside from signs of age and use, this remains in excellent condition.
