This is an original early-production German WWII Luftwaffe Flak Badge (Flak-Kampfabzeichen der Luftwaffe), manufactured by the respected maker Gustav Brehmer of Markneukirchen. This desirable early example is die-struck from solid nickel silver (Neusilber), displaying the superior craftsmanship and crisp detail associated with early-war production.
The badge features a finely detailed 88mm Flak gun set within a highly defined oak leaf wreath, surmounted by the Luftwaffe eagle clutching a separately applied swastika.
