Rare Original German WWII Luftwaffe Rubberized Motorcycle Coat (Kradmantel)-
This is a scarce original Luftwaffe issued rubberized motorcycle coat (Kradmantel) in the distinctive bluish-gray color, rather than the more common green-gray Heer version. These specialized coats were designed for Luftwaffe motorcycle dispatch riders, vehicle crews, and ground personnel operating in adverse weather conditions.
Constructed from heavy rubberized cotton canvas, the coat is double-breasted with a dark blue-gray wool collar, reinforced seams, and ventilation grommets marked D.R.G.M. inside the underarm area—confirming period German patent protection. The interior features partial mesh and cotton lining for ventilation and comfort. The integral waist belt, cuff straps, and all painted steel buttons remain intact, showing typical service and storage wear.
This example shows expected use and age toning, with some flaking and minor separations to the rubber surface from long-term storage, but it retains its full structure and an appealing field-used appearance.
