Original German WWII Luftwaffe Rucksack Marked & Dated 1942 With Shoulder Straps
A genuine WWII German Luftwaffe rucksack, used by soldiers to carry essential field gear such as rations, personal items, extra clothing, and equipment during marches and field operations.
Constructed of Luftwaffe blue cotton canvas, the material shows honest age-related fading along with scattered small holes and staining consistent with period use. Despite this, the canvas remains solid and displays well.
The leather shoulder straps remain supple and serviceable, retaining good strength. All primary leather closure and pocket straps are present; however, they would benefit from light conditioning, and care is advised when handling due to age. The front left pocket strap is missing its roller buckle. Metal hardware throughout shows typical oxidation and light rust.
The original drawstring closure rope is present but has been previously broken and re-tied with a knot at the rear. One end of the rope shows fraying from use.
The rucksack is maker marked and dated 1942. Overall still in good condition considering it's age.
