This is an original German WWII Luftwaffe (Air Force) 2nd pattern visor cap eagle, constructed of aluminum.
The aluminum finish shows natural age and minor wear consistent with period use, while still retaining sharp detail throughout the wings and body. The reverse is maker marked, A39 signifying production by F. W. Assmann & Söhne of Lüdenscheid. Both attachment prongs are intact.
Overall, this example remains in excellent condition.
