Original German WWII Luftwaffe Two Piece White/Gray Leather Winter Fleece Lined Flight Jacket & TrousersThis is a rare and highly collectible original two-piece winter flight suit issued to Luftwaffe (German Air Force) pilots and aircrew during World War II. Designed for cold-weather and high-altitude missions—particularly on the Eastern Front—this heavy-duty set includes both the fleece-lined leather flight jacket and matching trousers, showing even wear from period service use.
JACKET:
The flight jacket is constructed of white/gray leather and fully lined with white fleece for warmth. It features a dark brown fleece-lined collar and a front zipper with a RAPID-marked pull and white leather tab. The zipper currently does not zip due to the teeth being pressed together from long-term storage; however, it appears restorable with careful adjustment.
Additional features include:
*Two slash waist pockets with PRYM snap closures
*Zippered sleeve ends with ZIPP-marked pulls and leather tabs
*Internal wind cuffs made of blue ribbed cotton with dual PRYM snaps
*Blue ribbed cotton waistband with two internal Luftwaffe-style sliding buckles and tightening straps
*Dual PRYM 6 snaps at the front waist
*Original manufacturer's label sewn to the waistband
There are typical period repairs and small tears on the back and sleeves, consistent with authentic wartime use. The leather remains supple with a pleasing, field-worn patina and signs of age-related soiling.
TROUSERS:
The matching leather flight trousers are lined with dark brown fleece and feature a blue-gray ribbed cotton waistband secured with two black buttons. They are equipped with a mix of PRYM, ZIPP, and RAPID-marked zippers, all with original leather pull tabs.
Additional features include:
*Friction buckles with ribbed cotton straps at the outer waist
*Rear support straps with black button attachments
*Large flapped thigh pockets made of white cotton, internally divided for flares and other flight gear, with functional PRYM 6 snap closures
*Zippered outer legs for access to undergarments and integrated flight equipment fittings
The trousers also show wear and field soiling consistent with use, maintaining a matching aged patina that complements the jacket.
