Original German WWII Torn NSDAP/National Double Sided Flag/Banner *U.S. Veteran Bringback*Original German WWII double-sided NSDAP/National flag/banner brought back by a U.S. veteran. The remaining red body measures approximately 267 cm × 57 cm (105" × 22.5"), with the white circles measuring approximately 62 cm (24.5") in diameter.
The banner features multi-piece construction, with a separately applied white circle on each side and a black fabric swastika machine sewn onto each circle. The red body is slightly faded, while the black insignia retain strong color.
The banner has torn, unfinished edges, with loose threads and separation around portions of the white circles. It may have been pulled down while hanging and subsequently kept by the GI as a war trophy, although the exact circumstances of its removal are unknown, but this is most likely what happened.
Both white circles show noticeable staining, discoloration, and scattered surface marks. The fabric also exhibits storage creases and general age-related wear. Despite the tears and staining, both central insignia remain clearly recognizable. Please review the photographs for the full extent of the damage and condition.
This flag is a U.S. Veteran Bringback, acquired directly from the veteran's family. Included with the purchase will be a copy of the veteran's signed and dated Bringback Certificate (not pictured), providing additional provenance and historical interest to this original flag.
