Original German WWII M42 Heer/Waffen SS No Decal Helmet EF64 *Barn Find*
An original German WWII No Decal M42 steel combat helmet manufactured by Emaillierwerke A.G., Fulda (EF) in a size 64 shell. This is a well-used, untouched "barn find" example displaying considerable age and character throughout. Helmets of this type were produced during the mid-to-late war period when decals were no longer factory applied, and examples such as this are known to have been issued to both Heer and Waffen SS troops.
EXTERIOR
The exterior retains portions of its original dark fieldgray factory finish beneath extensive age related oxidation and surface rust. Numerous scratches, scuffs, and areas of finish loss are present, all consistent with considerable age and use.
INTERIOR
The interior retains its original M31 leather liner, size 56, which remains complete. The leather shows expected age wear, darkening but is a little stiff and still relatively supple. The original drawstring is present. The liner band remains firmly in place.
The chinstrap is present and is slightly dry. There is a visible RB Number.
OVERALL CONDITION
A solid helmet in good, used condition.
