This is a pair of authentic Wehrmacht issue wool gloves, made in the standard gray knit pattern worn by Wehrmacht and Waffen-SS soldiers during the war. The pair consists of one glove in the 1-ring ribbed pattern and the other in the 2-ring variation.
Both gloves are constructed of gray wool yarn with extended ribbed cuffs for warmth and a secure fit beneath the tunic or greatcoat. One glove features a period field repair at the thumb, nicely stitched with gray thread, showing clear evidence of use and soldier improvisation.
Such gloves were essential during harsh winter campaigns, particularly on the Eastern Front, and surviving examples with visible repairs are especially prized. This non-matching pair is in very good to excellent condition.
