Original German WWII Ribbon Bar Grouping Lot Of 3

A nice grouping of original German WWII ribbon bars representing the wartime and prior service awards of a German veteran. The set includes three separate ribbon bars, each showing period construction and wear consistent with wartime use.

The first larger ribbon bar consists of the following awards:

• WWI Iron Cross 2nd Class ribbon
• War Merit Cross 2nd Class with Swords ribbon
• Eastern Front Medal ribbon
• Saxony Friedrich August Medal in Silver ribbon
• Honor Cross of the World War 1914/1918 for Combatants ribbon

The ribbon bar retains its original crossed swords devices and original pinback attachment on the reverse. The backing cloth and stitching remain intact, showing honest age and period wear.

The second ribbon bar consists of:

• WWI Iron Cross 2nd Class ribbon
• War Merit Cross 2nd Class with Swords ribbon
• Saxony Friedrich August Medal in Silver ribbon
• Honor Cross of the World War 1914/1918 for Combatants ribbon (missing swords)

This example appears to be missing its crossed swords device to the Honor Cross ribbon. The reverse retains its original wool felt backing and pin assembly, with light wear from age and use.

Also included is a small single War Merit Cross 2nd Class ribbon bar with an NSDAP 10-Year Long Service Medal ribbon device sewn directly onto the ribbon. The miniature eagle device remains attached and displays attractive period detail.

All three ribbon bars exhibit period construction with age toning, light fraying, and wear consistent with wartime German uniform insignia. A desirable grouping that would display well in any German medal or militaria collection.
