Original German WWII Double Sided SA Gruppe Hochland Standarte Flag For The City/Town Of Schönram
Original German WWII double sided SA Gruppe Hochland standarte bearing the town name “Schönram.” The red body appears to be made from a cotton/wool blend and features multi-piece construction, with a separately applied white circle and a black fabric swastika sewn onto the circle on each side.
Both sides retain a brown corner panel bordered in blue, with “Schönram” chain stitched in white Gothic lettering. The lettering remains clear and well preserved. Silver wire fringe borders three sides, showing age-related tarnishing, some uneven strands, and localized wear exposing the lighter thread cores.
The red fabric shows scattered small holes, with a more concentrated area of holes and fraying near the lower edge. A period repair is also present. Both white circles exhibit age-related discoloration and staining, including a more pronounced brown waterline-type stain on one side. There are also storage creases and general handling wear throughout. It measures approximately 140 cm × 132 cm (55" × 52"), and the circle is approximately 85 cm (33.5") in diameter.
Overall, this standarte remains in very good condition, retaining strong color, both named corner panels, and its separately sewn insignia. Please review the photographs for the extent of the holes, staining, repair, and fringe wear.
