Unissued Original German WWII Mid/Late-War Splinter "A" Camouflage Fabric Material
Offered is an original unissued section of German WWII Splinter "A" camouflage fabric (Splittertarnmuster), the iconic camouflage pattern utilized extensively by the Heer and Luftwaffe during the war. This substantial piece retains outstanding color and display appeal, making it an excellent example of one of Germany's most recognizable wartime camouflage patterns.
The fabric features the classic angular splinter design consisting of dark brown and green geometric shapes over a light tan base with the characteristic green "rain" pattern printed throughout. The colors remain exceptionally vibrant and well-preserved, exhibiting very little fading. Unlike many examples encountered today, both sides retain nearly identical color intensity and contrast, giving the material excellent visual appeal from either side.
The material appears unissued and unused, retaining a crisp appearance with no evidence of having been made into a garment, shelter quarter, or other field equipment item. The fabric remains strong and supple throughout. There are a couple of small holes present, as shown in the photographs, but no major tears, repairs, or significant damage.
Measuring approximately 65 x 48 inches (165 x 122 cm), this is a large display-sized section suitable for collection, study, or as an outstanding reference example of original wartime Splinter camouflage material.
Overall, a scarce and desirable unissued piece of original German WWII Splinter "A" camouflage fabric, featuring vibrant colors, excellent preservation, and strong display appeal. An outstanding addition to any collection of German camouflage textiles or field equipment.
