Original German WWII Army/Luftwaffe Splinter A Wartime Zeltbahn Dated 1943
This is an original wartime German Zeltbahn in the classic Splinter “A” camouflage pattern, as issued to both Heer and Luftwaffe personnel. This example represents a mid to late war production piece, identifiable by its steel anodized brown buttons and zinc grommets.
The camouflage remains well defined, vibrant mid to late war colors on both Spring/Summer & Fall/Winter sides, showing the characteristic angular splinter pattern with overprinted rain streaks. All grommets are intact, but is missing majority of the original brown anodized buttons. The Zeltbahn is faintly ink stamp dated 1943. The zeltbahn does have some very small holes throughout.
Overall, this is a solid, honest wartime Splinter A zeltbahn is in very good condition.
