Original German WWII Tropical Gas Cape Bag (Gasplane Tasche) Unmarked
This authentic Gas Cape Bag was designed to carry a "Gas Cape" (Gasplane)—a protective fabric used by soldiers to shield themselves from chemical gas attacks during combat.
Constructed of a heavy cotton material, the bag retains its characteristic soft feel. The exterior shows some period wear and there is some surface soiling and creasing typical of use and long term storage. The flap is secured by 2 snaps, both present and firmly attached, but do exhibit some rust/oxidation. The reverse side features 2 attached fabric loops. There is an area of small pin holes or damage near the left snap on the front.
Overall still remains in good condition.
