Original German WWII Kriegsmarine Marked k98 Leather Ammo Pouch Marked And Dated 1937
This is an original German K98 ammunition pouch (Patronentaschen 98k), the standard-issue field gear designed to hold 30 rounds of 7.92mm Mauser ammunition in three compartments with internal cartridge spacers.
Constructed of quality blackened leather, this pouch remains in very good condition for its age. The leather is still pliable, stitching is intact, and the original internal dividers are present. There is only minor wear, including a light scrape on the front of one lid, and the pouch could benefit from a light cleaning if desired.
The reverse is clearly embossed with the manufacturer’s name and dated 1937, along with the highly desirable Kriegsmarine acceptance mark, featuring the eagle over swastika above a capital “M”. This denotes issue to the German Navy, making it a far scarcer variant than standard Heer issued pouches.
A fine and well-preserved early-dated example, ideal for any advanced WWII German or Kriegsmarine field gear collection.
