Original German WWII HJ Zinc Buckle RZM Marked M4/27 -- Overhoff & Cie
This is an original WWII-period H- Youth (H- Jugend) enlisted buckle, manufactured in zinc by Overhoff & Cie., Lüdenscheid, one of the most prolific and well-documented makers of Pre-WWII buckles. It is correctly RZM marked M4/27 on the reverse along with the RZM logo, identifying Overhoff as the authorized manufacturer.
The obverse displays the classic H- Jugend diamond with swastika, overlaid on the German eagle, surrounded by the motto “Blut und Ehre” (“Blood and Honor”). The buckle shows light wear and patina, with very small surface cracks visible, but remains structurally solid and complete. A fine example of a late-war zinc HJ buckle, retaining strong detail and desirable maker markings. On the reverse the dual prongs and prong bar are made out of aluminum and the catch is formed from the injection mold.
Overall a nice, authentic and in very good condition H- Jugend belt buckle for any Pre-WWII insignia or buckle collection.
