Original German WWII HJ Steel Belt Buckle RZM M5/276 By Klein & Quenzer A.G.
This is an original German WWII H-Youth (HJ) steel belt buckle, manufactured by Klein & Quenzer A.G..
The buckle is die-struck steel with a plated finish, typical of wartime production. The obverse features the classic HJ diamond with the HJ runes, surrounded by a wreath and the motto “Blut und Ehre!” The design retains good die detail throughout the wreath, lettering, and central device, with only light smoothing to the high points from service wear.
The buckle has visible wear and oxidation and likely poor storage thus resulting in the paint chips on the front and back. The reverse hardware remains solid, and the maker markings remain legible. The reverse retains its original hardware and all is functional. The RZM M5/276 is nicely visible (last photo).
Overall, this is a very nice original wartime HJ buckle.
