Original Imperial German Veteran & Commemorative Badge Grouping (4 Pieces)
This is an original grouping of four Imperial German badges and commemorative pieces dating to the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The lot includes veteran, patriotic, and commemorative items representing various organizations from the Imperial German period.
The grouping includes:
- Badge of the Prussian State Veteran's Association featuring the Imperial German eagle. This example is missing its original ribbon and lower maker's plate but retains its original pinback attachment.
- Prince Otto von Bismarck 50-Year Service Jubilee Commemorative Medal mounted on an original red, white, and black ribbon. A period safety pin has been attached to the reverse of the ribbon for wear. The medal commemorates the 50th anniversary of Bismarck's service to Germany.
- Imperial German Ribbon Bar featuring a miniature Prussian Red Cross Decoration mounted on a blue and white striped ribbon. The reverse retains its original pinback.
- Imperial German Ribbon Bar with an orange and white ribbon, retaining its original pinback attachment.
The pieces exhibit honest age, light finish wear and natural patina consistent with age and use. The Bismarck medal displays attractive character, while the veteran's badge remains a desirable example despite the missing ribbon and maker's plate.
A nice original Imperial German grouping that would make an excellent addition to any collection of Imperial German militaria or veteran's memorabilia. Overall the grouping is in very good to excellent condition.
