Original Imperial German WWI Army Steel Buckle
A genuine Imperial German World War I enlisted man’s belt buckle featuring the classic crowned center design with the motto “Gott Mit Uns” (“God With Us”) surrounding the central device. This pattern was widely worn by Prussian and other Imperial German troops during the Great War.
Constructed of steel, the buckle retains quite a bit of its original paint. The surface shows age and honest wear, with areas of paint loss, oxidation, and light rusting consistent with prolonged field use. Despite this, the crown, lettering, and wreath details remain visible and well-defined.
The reverse retains its original catch, prongs, and roller bar, all intact. The hardware shows matching age and use but remains solid overall.
