Original Imperial German WWI Brass Buckle
This is an original Imperial German WWI Prussian enlisted/NCO belt buckle (Koppelschloss), featuring the classic Model 1895 two-piece construction. The buckle body is made of brass with a separate, silver-finished nickel disc bearing the crowned Prussian emblem.
The roundel displays the iconic “GOTT MIT UNS” (God With Us) motto surrounding the raised royal crown, bordered by a laurel wreath. The silvered finish shows normal age toning with small areas of green verdigris in the recesses—typical for period nickel and easily cleaned if desired.
The brass body has a dark patina throughout. Overall, this is a solid, honest example of a WWI Prussian buckle, displaying good detail and authentic wartime wear.
