Original Luftwaffe M35 Reissued No Decal Helmet Q64This is a authentic Luftwaffe M35 helmet, produced by Quist, Esslingen and sized at 64. Initially issued as a double decal helmet, it was factory reissued, receiving the distinct dark flat gray/blue textured paint typical of Luftwaffe helmets.
EXTERIOR
Shell: The exterior retains its wartime reissue fine paint brushed textured finish, showing a subdued fieldblue tone applied over the original smooth Luftwaffe blue paint. The surface shows honest service wear, light scuffing, and age consistent with period use.
Decal(s): Surface crackling can be seen where the original 2nd Model Luftwaffe eagle and Tri-Color once was confirming evidence of its original double decals.
Split Pins: All three original split pins are intact. The domed heads exhibit heavy paint loss from service wear, with only small traces of the original factory and reissue finish remaining visible.
INTERIOR
Shell: The size stamp "Q64" and lot number "3225" are both visible on the inside.
Liner: The interior retains its original reinforced aluminum liner band. The leather liner is present and showing age, dryness, and period wear from service and storage. The finger tabs remain intact but are slightly fragile. The original drawstring is missing.
Chinstrap:The square chinstrap bales are intact; however the original leather chinstrap is missing.
CONDITION
Overall, this helmet is in very good condition and represents a classic Luftwaffe example that saw continued service following wartime reissue.
