Original German WWII Double Decal M34 Fire Police - Squad Leader (Feuerschutzpolizei - Zugführer) Helmet Size 64An authentic wartime German WWII M34 Fire Police - Squad Leader (Feuerschutzpolizei - Zugführer) helmet retaining both original decals and exhibiting honest service-used character throughout. These lightweight civic helmets were utilized by members of the German Fire Police and civil emergency services during the pre-WWII period. The hand painted stripe signifies it was for a Squad Leader "Zugführer".
EXTERIOR
Shell: Retains much of its original black painted finish with scratches, abrasions, and handling wear accumulated from and period use. The shell displays a desirable appearance with age and character throughout. Minor edge wear and scattered paint loss are visible along the flared rim and high points. the hand painted white stripe goes around the whole helmet and is nicely done.
Police Decal: Original toned silver Feuerschutzpolizei eagle shield decal remains present with some wear and scratching but still displays clearly.
National Party Decal: Original red, white, and black swas. shield decal remains intact with visible wear, scratches, and abrasions from service use.
The helmet retains its correct M34 civic-style six-hole ventilation pattern.
INTERIOR
Shell: Retains much of its original finish with age related scratches and abrasions.
Liner: Original leather liner remains present and in excellent condition. The leather has darkened from age and use. The fingers and drawstring are all intact. It is not visibly size marked, but measurements show it's approximately a size ??.
Chinstrap: Original chinstrap is broken. The leather shows moderate age related dryness but still remains solid overall with original hardware intact.
CONDITION
A genuine service used double decal M34 Feuerschutzpolizei helmet in very good condition. Refer to photos for details and actual condition.
