Original Pre-WWII NSKK (Nationalsozialistisches Kraftfahrkorps) 1st Pattern Leather Motorcycle Crash Helmet Size 55This is an original 1st Pattern NSKK (Nationalsozialistisches Kraftfahrkorps / National Socialist Motor Corps) motorcycle crash helmet, an impressive early piece of NSKK motorized headgear. The NSKK adopted this general style of protective leather crash helmet from the earlier Motor-SA, with the first pattern distinguished in part by its large early-style national eagle insignia.
EXTERIOR:
Mounted prominently to the front is the 1st pattern NSKK metal eagle. This early eagle does not display the letters "NSKK" like the 2nd pattern eagles do. The example presented here has an overall nice patina with nice crisp details. The exterior leather exhibits scattered scratches, crazing, and finish loss in scattered areas. The wear is consistent throughout and gives the helmet an appealing service-like appearance. The side and rear panels and straps are still intact.
INTERIOR:
The original liner and drawstring are nicely still intact. There is some visible finish loss on the inside dome.
CONDITION:
Overall condition is very good to excellent. Please refer to photos for details and actual condition.
