Original Pre-WWII League of German Girls (Bund Deutscher Mädel - BDM) "West Hessen-Nassau" District Sleeve Triangle (Uniform Removed)

This desirable BDM district sleeve triangle originates from the "West Hessen-Nassau" district, indicating the area where a youth unit was based. It is a textbook example, made with BeVo machine-woven construction. The BDM was the female counterpart to the H- Youth (H-jugend, youth) for girls aged 15-17.

The front features "West Hessen-Nassau" in white rayon thread on a black backing. The patch edges are folded and machine-sewn with black thread. This patch appears to be uniform removed. There is some slight staining in a few areas on both sides.
