Original German WWII Deutsche Arbeitsfront (DAF) Visor Cap BadgeThe “Deutsche Arbeitsfront” (German Labor Front), originally founded in 1933, became an official NSDAP organization in October 1934. Its stated purpose was to educate the workers in industry and commerce in furtherance of the smooth and efficient operation of all labor in the Third Reich.
This original badge is 5.3cm (2.01") tall, framed with a gilt washed metal, rope-like surround. Its cloth center features the machine woven DAF emblem of a mobile swas. within a fourteen-toothed cog above a spray of oak leaves, all in golden-yellow on a black base. The swas. has been censored.
The reverse is embossed with "RZM 376". The prongs are missing. Show typical light age toning plus wear. Condition is good minus the fact the prongs are missing.
