
This is an original Reichskriegsflagge was used by the Kriegsmarine. The flag features the classic design consisting of a red field with a black and white cross extending to the edges, a central white roundel with black swastika, and an Iron Cross in the upper hoist canton.
This example is manufactured in printed multi-piece construction with a reinforced white canvas hoist edge and retains both original rope attachment loops. The hoist is clearly maker marked “Lorenz Summa Söhne, Oberkotzau” and additionally stamped “Kr. Fl. 80 x 135." There are some handwritten inscriptions "9 Armor C Batt 1944"? on the canvas end (Pic 4 and 5) that indicate a Vet Bringback.
The flag measures approximately 80cm x 135cm. Colors are vibrant overall and the flag has little to no flaws. The printed design remains well defined, and the hoist reinforcement, stitching, and rope loops remain intact.
This size of Reichskriegsflagge was commonly issued for small naval vessels like U-Boats, coastal installations, military buildings, and official government structures and highly desirable by collectors. The flag has been nicely preserved and remains in near Mint condition.
