Original German Pre-WWII NS Arbeitsdienst Abtlg. 4305 Braunschweig Membership Pin
These pins were given to members of the NS Arbeitsdienst (National Socialist Labor Service). The
NS Arbeitsdienst (NSAD) existed during the early 1930s before the organization was reorganized into the
Reichsarbeitsdienst (RAD) in 1935. After 1935, the organization became the
Reichsarbeitsdienst, and labor service eventually became compulsory for young men (and later women).
The inscription on the front identifies the wearer's local department (Abteilung 4305) in
Braunschweig (Brunswick), Germany.This original pin maintains vibrant enamel. There is a tiny bit of flecking and age marks. The reverse has a nice aged patina and the pinback is intact. There is a visible maker logo and year made "37 RADJ" and "Ges. Gesch." (patent protected) marking. Overall, this is in very good to excellent condition.
