Original German Pre-WWII Political Leader’s Brown Leather Belt With Open Claw Buckle RZM Marked 100 cm
A very desirable original WWII German Political Leader’s leather belt, complete with its correct open claw style buckle and clearly visible RZM markings to both the belt and buckle.
Constructed of high-quality brown leather, the belt exhibits the typical characteristics associated with NSDAP political issue. The exterior retains a deep brown tone with attractive age patina, while the interior shows honest wear from period use. The leather remains supple and structurally sound, displaying a well-preserved, untouched appearance.
The buckle tab is clearly stamped “RZM Kernstück L2/1081/38”, indicating an officially approved leather component (“Kernstück” referring to the primary belt body) produced under the Reichszeugmeisterei system in 1938. This early date adds to the desirability, placing the belt firmly in the pre-war to early-war production period.
Fitted with its original aluminum open claw buckle, featuring a fine pebbled finish and functional dual-prong fastening system designed for the double row of holes. The underside of the buckle is marked “RZM 17”, confirming period manufacture and correct political pattern hardware.
The belt measures approximately 100 cm in total length and features multiple adjustment holes for sizing. Stitching at the buckle tab remains intact, showing expected age and light wear consistent with use.
Overall, this is a solid, fully matching RZM marked example of a German WWII Political Leader’s belt with correct open claw buckle; an increasingly hard-to-find piece, especially with both belt and buckle properly marked and in honest, unaltered condition. Does not come with a leather belt keeper, which we believe it might have had it at one time. The belt is in very good to excellent condition.
