Original US WWII Amy Olive Drab Wool Blanket Damaged
A genuine WWII U.S. Army olive drab wool blanket, appearing to be an unissued example that unfortunately suffered from poor long-term storage. These blankets were standard issue to American troops and are a staple piece of U.S. field gear from the period.
The blanket shows no real signs of field use, retaining a strong original color and overall uniform appearance consistent with unissued stock. However, improper storage has resulted in noticeable moth damage across portions of the blanket, including scattered tracking and a few larger holes concentrated in one area.
Despite the damage, the wool remains solid overall and the blanket still displays well. Edges are intact, and the piece lays out nicely for display or collection purposes.
An honest, untouched example that reflects storage conditions rather than battlefield wear—ideal as a representative piece, display item, or filler example in a WWII U.S. field gear collection.
