Original U.S. WWII Paratrooper / Airborne M1941 Canteen Cover
This is an original U.S. paratrooper "reinforced" canteen cover dated 1943. This example features the added sewn horizontal retaining straps on the reverse, a modification intended to secure the canteen more tightly and reduce movement during parachute jumps.
This cover has functioning lift-the-dot snaps and belt hook intact. There are no holes but there is some staining and discoloration throughout. It remains in very good, used condition.
