Original US WWII M1928-A1Thompson SMG Parts Kit Military Configuration
This is an original U.S. WWII M1928-A1 Thompson Submachine Gun parts kit in correct military configuration.
The M1928-A1 was the primary early-war military Thompson issued to U.S. forces during WWII and is distinguished by its finned barrel, Cutts Compensator, and horizontal forearm. This military version is designed to accept standard 20-round and 30-round box magazines as well as 50-round and 100-round drum magazines.
Included in this kit:
• Original lower frame assembly with correct military selector markings (“SAFE,” “FIRE,” and “SINGLE”)
• Original finned barrel with Cutts Compensator (marked “Thompson”)
• Original butt stock
• Original pistol grip
• Original horizontal forearm
• Bolt assembly and internal components as shown
• Recoil spring and guide components
• Additional small parts as pictured
The wood furniture retains an attractive aged military finish in excellent condition with some very minor handling marks, dings, and wear consistent with storage. The metal components show excellent finish with wear and patina from age and storage. It appears the the SMG was unissued.
Barrel Condition: The bore is currently slightly dirty from storage and will require cleaning. The rifling is present and visible. A proper cleaning is recommended prior to any use or evaluation. The Cutts Compensator is correctly marked and retains strong visible patent and trademark markings.
This is a military M1928-A1 configuration, not the later simplified M1/M1A1 variant.
This is a parts kit only. No receiver is included.
All NFA rules apply where applicable. Sold as collector parts.
Overall, this is a desirable original WWII Thompson M1928-A1 military parts kit and would make an excellent addition for collectors, historical display, or legal restoration projects where permitted.
