Original US WWII M1936 Web Equipment Belt
The M1936 Web Belt was the standard-issue utility and pistol belt used by the U.S. Army throughout WWII. Constructed of heavy olive drab cotton webbing with metal hardware, it was designed to support a variety of field equipment including pistol holsters, ammunition pouches, canteens, first aid pouches, and other individual gear. Its adjustable design and reinforced eyelets allowed soldiers to configure their equipment loadout to suit different combat and support roles.
This example features web construction and a clearly visible "U.S." stamp on the exterior. The webbing retains good color overall, showing only moderate age-related fading from service and storage. There are scattered stains and areas of discoloration throughout, consistent with field use, while the metal fittings exhibit light oxidation and an attractive untouched patina. The belt retains its original adjustment hardware, hooks, snaps, and reinforced grommets, all of which remain intact and functional.
Overall this belt remains in very good usable condition with no real flaws.
