Original U.S. WWII M1944 Combat Suspenders Postwar Modified
This is an original pair of late-war U.S. WWII M1944 combat suspenders. Constructed of olive drab webbing, the suspenders retain their adjustable straps and original metal attachment hooks and hardware.
The suspenders show honest service use, with scattered staining, fading, minor oxidation to the metal fittings, and general age-related wear. Faint original markings remain visible on the webbing. At some point following the war, U.S. military-grade padded shoulder sections were sewn onto the suspenders for additional comfort. The modification appears to have been done for continued military or practical field use.
Despite the postwar modification and visible wear, the webbing remains solid and the suspenders are still in very good overall condition.
