Original U.S. WWII M1 Helmet Liner By Mine Safety Appliances (MSA) With Reproduction Chinstrap
Original WWII M1 helmet liner manufactured by Mine Safety Appliances, identified by the molded MSA logo inside the crown. All of the factory green exterior paint is gone, exposing the liner’s distinctive tan fabric and dark resin construction.
The interior retains its olive drab web suspension, adjustable leather sweatband, and neck strap. The webbing shows wear and fraying in places, while the leather sweatband has age related creasing and wear and is a brown color. A reproduction leather liner chinstrap has been added and is included with the liner.
An honest, well-used WWII M1 liner with its construction clearly visible beneath the lost exterior paint. Overall this liner is in good condition.
