Original U.S. WWII Navy Reversible Camouflaged Poncho
The classic “Frog Skin” pattern, featuring both the green jungle side and the tan/brown beach side.
This is a very desirable wartime example, showing excellent, vibrant colors on both sides with minimal fading. The camouflage remains strong and well-defined, making it an outstanding display piece. The poncho retains all of its original snaps, which are intact and fully functional, showing only light age and oxidation consistent with period use.
Constructed of lightweight, rubberized material, the poncho is free of any rips, tears, or major damage. There are no large stains present—only some scattered white talcum powder residue from original factory storage, which is commonly seen on well-preserved examples. The material is slightly stiff, which is typical for these rubberized ponchos due to age and storage, but it remains solid and intact.
The interior is clearly marked “THE LOBL MFG. CO.” with contract information and “U.S.N.” designation, confirming authentic WWII Navy issue.
Overall, an excellent condition example of a highly collectible U.S. WWII reversible frog skin camouflage poncho, increasingly difficult to find in this level of preservation.
