Unissued Original German WWII Internal Field Blouse Support Straps (Matching Pair) Marked & Dated 1936
A scarce and early matching pair of original German WWII internal field blouse support straps, clearly manufacturer marked and dated 1936. These straps were designed to be worn inside the field blouse (tunic), helping to support the weight of equipment by attaching to internal buttons and distributing strain across the shoulders—an often overlooked but essential component of the German soldier’s uniform system.
Constructed of high-quality early-war grey cotton webbing, both straps remain in excellent, unissued condition, retaining their original structure and finish. Each strap features multiple reinforced adjustment eyelets with tight, clean stitching, allowing for proper size adjustment as intended.
Both are clearly ink stamped “Albert Mankel & Co., Großröhrsdorf i. Sa., 1936,” a known textile manufacturer, with the markings remaining sharp and fully legible. The pair is matching in construction, material, and wear, which is increasingly difficult to find, especially in this early pre-war dated example.
There is little to no evidence of use, with only very minor storage wear visible, consistent with long-term preservation. No damage or alterations noted.
An excellent and rarely encountered matching set, ideal for completing an early-war tunic display or for the advanced collector seeking untouched, pre-war dated uniform accessories. In mint unissued condition. Sold as a pair.
