Original German WWI Kyffhäuserbund Veterans Commemorative Medals Lot of 3
Nice lot of three original German post World War I Kyffhäuserbund veteran’s commemorative medals. These are private-purchase, unofficial remembrance pieces produced for wear by German veterans in the interwar period (Weimar era into the early Third Reich period), commonly seen at reunions, parades, and remembrance gatherings.
Each medal is oval and features a patriotic motif with the years 1914–1918, along with the well-known slogan “Blank die Wacht – Rein die Ehr” (often associated with Rhine patriotism and veteran tradition). All three retain their original-style suspension rings and are accompanied by original ribbons. The ribbons show age and we do not believe the blue ribbon is correct. It may have been period or post WWII replaced.
Overall the medals, ribbons, and pins are nicely intact. Some toning and aging is visible.
