Original Weimar Republic Era Königin Luise Bund Badge (c. 1923)-
This is an original Königin Luise Bund (Queen Louise League) membership badge, dating from around 1923 during the Weimar Republic. The organization, known in German as the Königin-Luise-Bund or simply Luisenbund, was a pro-monarchist women’s association dedicated to promoting traditional German values and loyalty to the legacy of Queen Louise of Mecklenburg-Strelitz, the beloved Queen of Prussia.
The badge is constructed of silvered metal in an oval oak-leaf wreath design, featuring a crowned script “L” monogram at the center, symbolizing Queen Louise. The reverse retains its original horizontal pin fastener, and the piece shows light age wear and patina consistent with period manufacture.
A fine and scarce example in excellent condition from the early interwar years, representing an organization that bridged Imperial German sentiment with early 20th-century nationalist movements.
