Original German Pre-WWII 1938 & 1935 Event/Tinnie Badges (2 pieces)

A "tinnie" is a small, inexpensive badge or pin produced in large quantities by the NSDAP (1933-1945) to commemorate a wide variety of events, rallies, and fundraising efforts. Despite the name "tinnie," they were made from various materials including metal (aluminum, tin), plastic, glass, wood, or even pressed leather. There are estimated to be over 8,000 different designs of WHW items, ranging from regional crests to fairy tale characters.

The first is a 1938 NSDAP Osterholz Kreistreffen event badge. This badge features a geometric design with “N.S.D.A.P. OSTERHOLZ – KREISTREFFEN 1938”. The reverse retains its original pin and is clearly maker marked “ASSMANN & SÖHNE LÜDENSCHEID,” along with a RZM marking. The badge remains very clean with strong detail and only light age-related wear.

The second is a 1935 Aachen-Land Kreistag badge commemorating the 10th anniversary of the local NSDAP organization. The front features a worker figure positioned before crossed tools, with a swastika incorporated into the upper design. The raised inscription reads “AACHEN STADT – AACHEN LAND / KREISPARTEITAG 1935 / 10 JÄHR. ORTSGRUPPE AACHEN.” The reverse retains its original horizontal pin and catch assembly. It is unmarked and exhibits only light age-related wear.

Both badges retain attractive silver-gray finishes with crisp raised details and complete attachment hardware. Sold as a set.
