Original German Pre-WWII RAD Arbeitsdienst Commemorative Service PlaqueThis is an original German WWII Reichsarbeitsdienst (RAD) commemorative service plaque, presented as a remembrance of service at RAD Lager Zeitz 1/144.
The bronze plaque features the RAD emblem along with the inscription “Zur Erinnerung an meine Arbeitsdienstzeit im Lager Zeitz 1/144” which translates to “In Remembrance of My Labor Service Time at Camp Zeitz 1/144.” The plaque is tightly secured to the velvet covered base. It has a nice overall patina and all raised areas are still sharp and detailed. Considering it's age, the velvet hardly shows any flaws. The backing is still nicely intact along with the suspension ring for hanging.
Measures approximately 15cm x 12.7cm (6"H x 5"W).
Overall remains in very good to excellent condition. We believe this plaque to be completely period original.
