Refurbished Original US WWII M1 Swivel Bale Helmet With Capac Liner & Reproduction Paratrooper Chinstrap
EXTERIOR
This is an original U.S. WWII M1 swivel bale helmet shell that has been refurbished and repainted in a textured olive drab finish. The shell retains its correct WWII swivel chinstrap bales and presents well overall with an even textured finish throughout. Fitted to the helmet is a reproduction paratrooper-style web chinstrap, giving the helmet the appearance of an airborne configuration while remaining clearly identified as a reproduction component.
The shell shows only light wear from handling and storage, with minor scuffs and edge wear consistent with age.
INTERIOR
The helmet is paired with an original Capac-manufactured liner, identified by the distinctive Capac cross logo. The liner retains its original suspension system, which remains complete and functional. The neck band (nape strap), headband, and liner chinstrap are no longer present.
The liner might have been repainted post-war and displays well overall. The suspension webbing remains intact, showing expected age-related wear but no significant damage.
CONDITION
A solid displayable example of a refurbished U.S. WWII M1 swivel bale helmet with an original Capac liner. The shell retains an attractive textured repaint and is fitted with a reproduction paratrooper-style chinstrap. The liner remains complete with its original suspension, though the headband, nape strap, and chinstrap are absent. Overall, the helmet remains in very good condition and would make a nice representative addition to any U.S. WWII helmet collection.
