Reproduction German WWII Police & Waffen SS Propaganda Postcards Lot of 2
These are two postwar reproduction German WWII propaganda postcards featuring Police, SS, and Waffen SS themes. Both reproduce known wartime postcard designs and are unused.
The first reproduces the 1942 “Die Polizei im Fronteinsatz” (“The Police in Front-Line Service”) postcard issued for the Day of the German Police. It depicts armed members of the German Police and SS serving on the Eastern Front.
The second reproduces a Waffen SS recruiting postcard bearing the slogan “Melde Dich freiwillig zur Waffen SS” (“Volunteer for the Waffen-SS”). It depicts two Waffen SS soldiers wearing camouflage uniforms and helmet covers. The reverse carries a reproduced SS Hauptamt publisher marking and a period quotation.
Both postcards exhibit scattered discoloration, toning, and light handling wear. Neither has been addressed, stamped, or mailed.
