This is a matching pair of original French military cap badges featuring the iconic stork in flight carrying a scroll inscribed "Nous Reviendrons" (We Will Return). The stork became a well known patriotic symbol in France, particularly during the early 20th century, and was adopted by several military units, most notably those associated with Alsace and Lorraine. The banner phrase "Nous Reviendrons" served as a patriotic vow that France would inevitably return to reclaim and liberate its lost territory.

Both have a nice bronze finish mostly intact. The pinbacks are in good working order.
