Original German WWII Luftwaffe Winter Flying Helmet by Siemens Lkp W101
This is an original German WWII Luftwaffe winter flying helmet (Fliegerkopfhaube für Winter), model Lkp W101, manufactured by Siemens and clearly marked on the interior tag “SIEMENS Lkp W101 Baumuster Ln 26618.” This model was widely used by Luftwaffe bomber and aircrews operating in cold-weather environments.
Constructed of dark brown pebbled leather exterior with fleece lining for insulation. The helmet retains its earphone housings. The leather exhibits honest service wear with scattered finish loss, scuffing, cracking and age-related crazing. The interior lining shows expected age and discoloration but remains quite full. The headphones and cord have been removed. It is about a size 57 or 58.
Overall this is in very good condition with plenty of period character. Please refer to the photos for additional details and actual condition.
