Original German Pre-WWII NSFK Deutschlandflug 1938 Badge by Gustav BrehmerThis badge was awarded to
participants in the NSFK (Nationalsozialistisches Fliegerkorps) Deutschlandflug (Germany Flight) of 1938, one of the largest aviation competitions held in Germany before WWII. The
Deutschlandflug was an annual long distance flying competition that actually began in
1911, long before the NSDAP, as a way to promote aviation. After 1933, the event was taken over by the
National Socialist Flyers Corps (NSFK) and became both a flying competition and a propaganda event supporting Germany's rapidly expanding aviation program.
This original badge maintains vibrant enamel with some slight imperfections due to age / use and long term storage. We digitially censored the swas. There is a nice patina overall. The pinback is nicely intact. The reverse displays quite a bit of finish wear and some oxidation. The pinback assembly is marked
"Ges. Gesch." (Gesetzlich Geschützt-legally protected) and the maker name "G Brehmer" is included.
Overall this badge is in very good condition.
