Unissued Original German WWII Waffen SS Russian Volunteer EM/NCO Collar TabThese were worn 7th SS Division units of the SS Prinz Eugen division which was made up of Croatian, Hungarian, and Romanian volunteers and was created to combat partisan operations. This was intended for wear by men of the 29th Waffen Grenadier Division of the SS RONA (1st Russian), formed of foreign volunteers on the base of Bronislav Kaminski’s Waffen-Sturm-Brigade RONA.
This unissued example is of the desirable Dachau-made variety, featuring characteristic period construction with fine machine embroidery on ribbed black wool and the original stiffener retained on the reverse. The embroidery remains crisp and well defined.
The tab shows slightest age and handling, while the reverse retains its original stitching and construction details. Overall, it remains in excellent condition and displays very well.
