Original German WWII "1 October 1938 Commemorative Sudetenland Medal" With RibbonThe medal was established on the historic date of 1 October 1938, served as a poignant memento of the German occupation of Sudetenland and its subsequent annexation into the German Reich. This medal was bestowed upon individuals who played instrumental roles in facilitating Sudetenland integration into the Reich.
This original, unmarked medal is die-struck with a bronze finish and exhibits honest age toning and patina consistent with period manufacture. The original ribbon is well preserved and displays the distinctive Sudetenland colors, showing light age wear.
The obverse features two raised figures: one holding a flag while the other breaks free from chains, symbolizing liberation. Above them is a German national eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, representing unity. The reverse bears the central date “1. OKTOBER 1938”, surrounded by the inscription “EIN VOLK, EIN REICH, EIN FÜHRER” (“One People, One Nation, One Leader”).
The medal and ribbon remain in very good overall condition with slight discoloration / stains.
