Original Imperial German WWI Brass Matchbox Holder
The matchbox holder is constructed entirely of brass and measures approximately 6 x 4 x 2 cm. The front is embossed with the Imperial German crown surrounded by a laurel wreath and the patriotic motto "GOTT MIT UNS" ("God With Us"), a slogan commonly found on Imperial German military equipment. It was designed to hold a standard-size matchbox and displays a rich, untouched brass patina acquired through age. Overall condition is excellent.
