Original German WWII Luftwaffe Officer’s Dagger Portepee Short Model
Original short model Luftwaffe officer’s dagger portepee, primarily used on 1st and 2nd model daggers. Features silver-colored braided cord with an intricately woven stem and acorn-shaped knot. Measures approximately 11 inches (27.9 cm) from the bottom of the knot to the end of the braided loop.
Shows wear from age and use, including fraying and loss to the silver covering on portions of the cord and the sliding knot. The knot retains much of its woven covering, with scattered wear and discoloration. An original example with visible signs of use.
